The Challenge
A skilled sole trader plumber and general builder, wanted to grow his business by attracting new customers and expanding into nearby areas. However, his existing brand didn’t reflect the professionalism or quality of service he delivered. In a highly competitive, word-of-mouth-driven market, his visual identity and online presence were holding him back.

Just as important was the need to appear approachable and trustworthy—a critical factor in trades where customers often feel uncertain or overwhelmed. He needed a brand that conveyed both credibility and warmth, making people feel confident asking questions and welcoming him into their homes.
The Solution
We began with a full brand refresh—renaming the business to Eley Plumbing & Property Maintenance, a clear, professional name that instantly communicates his offering. I created a new logo and selected bold, memorable brand colours and typography designed to stand out across digital and print marketing channels.

One of the core design goals was to create a brand that felt reassuring, friendly, and easy to approach. This was especially important for building trust with homeowners who may have little knowledge of plumbing or maintenance and want to feel comfortable asking for help—no matter how simple the question.
This paid off immediately. One of his new clients said of his business card:
"I feel from this that I can ask you anything – even the stupid questions."
Next, I developed a modern, SEO-optimised website that clearly showcased his services, pricing, and customer testimonials. I handled everything from domain purchase to email setup, making sure the user experience was seamless and easy to use.
To support ongoing marketing and customer engagement, I designed a suite of branded collateral including business cards, email signature, digital flyers, and professional quote and invoice templates.
We also focused on local visibility, helping Eley join relevant community Facebook groups. I supported him in engaging with posts where people were actively looking for plumbing or maintenance services—boosting awareness and generating real leads.
